Ummm. . .Really?

The other day I was watching a special on diseases. They were talking about the Avian Flu and what would happen if it became a worldwide epidemic (would it be just like the Spanish {?} Flu of 1918?) During the special they also discussed how new strains of drug-resistant cholera and dysentery are being found; how we have yet to find a cure for Ebola and HIV/AIDS.

Two days later I watched a show that discussed former V.P. Al Gore's documentary on global warming and how us humans are literally killing the planet. One example is of Mount Kilimanjaro (bordering Tanzania and Kenya) - Kilimanjaro had lost 75% of its glacier ice cap since 1912{?}. That completely shocked me; and got me to thinking (here comes the smoke!)

Yes, we are the reason the Earth is dying. However I do not believe it is because we are using fossil-based fuels, cutting down forests, or using hairspray. We are killing the Earth because there is simply too fucking many of us! That is why they cannot find a 'cure' for Ebola, AIDS, or the new Cholera.

It is a little theory that Darwin described as 'Natural Selection'; it is also the reason why we shouldn't try to keep babies born at 22 weeks, or someone who is 95 and ready to kick the bucket, alive. By doing this we are putting a major strain on our planet, as it was never intended to house 6 1/2 BILLION people!

Just my opinion - and yes, it counts for everything! ;)
