A Dream
In visions of the dark night
I have dreamed of joy departed-
But a waking dream of life and light
Hath left me broken-hearted.
Ah! what is not a dream by day
To him whose eyes are cast
On things around him with a ray
Turned back upon the past?
That holy dream- that holy dream,
While all the world were chiding,
Hath cheered me as a lovely beam
A lonely spirit guiding.
What though that light, thro' storm and night,
So trembled from afar-
What could there be more purely bright
In Truth's day-star?

*cough* *choke* *sputter* *gasp*
And there are the final sounds of the Colts season. . .was I the only one who knew they wouldn't make the SB?
The Colts lost in the AFC Divisional Playoff to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. They trailed 21-3 entering the fourth quarter before a late rally fell just short.
Final Score: 21-18 Boooooooooooo!

It is January in Indianapolis. . .
and that can mean only one thing: the horrifying, strangled gasp of the Colts choking once again.
At last check it was start of the 4th quarter against Pittsburg and the score was 21-3. Unless there is a miracle we will not even see the AFC Championship game, and it sucks! I don't understand what is with these boys, but they have got to get it under control. Maybe they can't handle the pressure, or maybe Irsay cursed them when he hauled ass outta Baltimore 20-some years ago in the middle of the night. I don't know what the problem is, but I want the Colts to at least go to the Super Bowl! They ain't gotta win. . .just make it there!
I will post the final score when it comes in. . .

This is sickening!
I can barely afford to take my children to the doctor's when they are ill. I can barely afford to take my kids to the fair when it comes to town. I have never been on a vacation with my kids because I (surprise!) cannot afford it. Yet these fuckers make MILLIONS (am I the only one who knew that Cameron Diaz got 10 MILLION for 18 HOURS of work on Shrek 2?) of dollars to pretend, to imagine, and they get all this shit that they can OBVIOUSLY afford for free? To stand in front of a few people and say "The nominees for Best Movie, Drama, are. . ."? It makes me want to vomit!

Company Policy Changes

Dress Code
It is advised that you come to work dressed according to your salary.
If we see you wearing Prada shoes and carrying a Gucci bag, we assume you are
doing well financially and therefore do not need a raise.
If you dress poorly, you need to learn to manage your money better, so that you may buy nicer clothes, and therefore you do not need a raise.
If you dress just right, you are right where you need to be and therefore you do not need a raise.
Sick Days
We will no longer accept a doctor's statement as proof of sickness.
If you are able to go to the doctor, you are able to come to work.
Personal Days
Each employee will receive 104 personal days a year.
They are called Saturday & Sunday.
Bereavement Leave
This is no excuse for missing work.
There is nothing you can do for dead friends, relatives or co-workers. Every effort should be made to have non-employees attend to the arrangements.
In rare cases where employee involvement is necessary, the funeral should be scheduled in the late afternoon. We will be glad to allow you to work through your lunch hour and subsequently leave one hour early.
Toilet Use
Entirely too much time is being spent in the toilet.
There is now a strict three-minute time limit in the stalls.
At the end of three minutes, an alarm will sound, the toilet paper roll will retract, the stall door will open, and a picture will be taken.
After your second offense, your picture will be posted on the company bulletin board under the "Chronic Offenders” category.
Anyone caught smiling in the picture will be sanctioned under the company's mental health policy.
Lunch Break
Skinny people get 30 minutes for lunch, as they need to eat more, so
that they can look healthy.
Normal size people get 15 minutes for lunch to get a balanced meal to maintain their average figure.
Chubby people get 5 minutes for lunch, because that's all the time needed to drink a Slim-Fast.
Thank you for your loyalty to our company.
We are here to provide a positive employment experience. Therefore, all questions, comments, concerns, complaints, frustrations, irritations, aggravations, insinuations, allegations, accusations, contemplations, consternation and input should be directed elsewhere.
